GospelFit THANKSgiving Diet Challenge Day 18 ~ His Love Endures Forever

Day 18 – Psalm 106:1 (NIV) Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

  Just last night, I went to a service celebrating the life of one of the members of my church who had recently passed to go be with the Lord. Of course, there was some sadness for those of us still here. However, it was truly a celebration and a blessing for all of those in attendance. It was evident that this sister-in-Christ had lived a full life and was now with the Lord.

Clearly, the family shared in love and their service confirmed their belief that their family member was now with the Lord for a better life for eternity. While every aspect of the service was a blessing, the final selection by the choir was such an uplift that so many of us could not stay seated. They ministered with “For Every Mountain” by Kurt Carr.

The song starts out acknowledging that God had been so great and is to be thanked and praised.

There is no pretense that there were no challenges in life. The truth that God was there and guiding through the process is celebrated and praised. By the end of the song, there is truly an atmosphere of thanksgiving. God has supplied such a blessing at every stage and is to be praised.
